Team effectivenessOnce the leadership team has mastered the principles of self-motivation, an essential role going forward will be their ability to inspire their teams to display the same behaviours. “Team Effectiveness” examines the suite of tools and strategies leaders can use to coach, inspire and engage their teams in this process. We all know that when people first begin their journey in work, enthusiasm and energy come with the territory. As time passes, the pressures of career and life begin to take their toll, and the smallest of external influences can impact the mindset of the individual. It is a key part of the leadership teams responsibility to manage their people to take ownership for their state and overcome the day to day external pressures of life maintaining a resourceful, positive approach to their daily activities. This module delivers leaders with the tools and techniques to create an emotionally intelligent team, capable of delivering an optimal environment for success. Participants will learn how to- evaluate their own beliefs, and the impact of these beliefs upon their interactions with others
- recognise the relationship between internal and external pressures on performance
- utilise their ‘tool kit for leaders’ to become coaches of motivation
- understand the relationship between positional and personal power, and the impact of the two upon staff
- appreciate the relationship between our beliefs, our consequent actions, and the impact this will have on our results
- understand the key levers for motivating your people and when to use punishment vs. reward
- recognise how you, as a leader, can create an environment that supports peak performance in all aspects, personal and organisational
- understand how to create context at the start of any mission.
