PARTNERS OVERVIEW
As part of The Communication Trust's Communication Consortium, TLP is working with TCT to support the speech, language and communication development of young people in the UK.

The purpose of The Communication Trust is to raise awareness of the importance of speech, language and communication across the children's workforce and to enable practitioners to access the best training and expertise to support the communication needs of all children.

The Communication Trust was founded by Afasic, BT Better World Campaign, Council for Disabled Children (CDC) and I CAN. This small core group is supported by a number of partners and stakeholders which includes 25 voluntary and community groups who deliver services to help children communicate.

In addition the Trust is consulting with a number of representatives of the children’s workforce, including the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) and the Teaching and Development Agency for schools (TDA).

The Trust's work is supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and other funders. The Trust is hosted by I CAN and works to a representative board.
