As a primary school teacher in the North of England, Mark became a national pathfinder for ICT and the Internet in UK schools contributing to national and European digital learning content and Government eLearning and eSafety policy. His students won a number of national awards in computing, robotics and web design and Mark was personally recognised with several teaching awards.
Mark left teaching to become the Director of R&D at Digitalbrain, helping to establish a 2.2 million user online network for schools and the web platform for the London Grid For Learning as well as developing a wide range of digital content for schools and the post-16 education sector.
After designing a global Content Management System (CMS) for the GEMS groups of international schools, Mark became Executive Producer at the world’s largest publisher Pearson, designing and managing a range of very popular curriculum and assessment products across Mathematics and Creative Computing.
At global Ed-tech company Promethean, Mark led Global Product Strategy, Training and Education Consulting initiatives for ten years, working extensively in product development, education research and teacher and school leader professional development. He led the design of Promethean’s numerous award winning educational hardware and software products and established Promethean Planet as one of the largest teacher web platforms in the world.
Mark currently works as a STEM ambassador with teachers and schools and brings his passion and interest in the power of technology in education to his role at The Learning Partnership.

Ex Banker and Civil Servant, Been with Bloodhound since 2010. Joined as an Ambassador to begin with then moved onto the Events team. Look after the events in the UK and leads the overseas events for Bloodhound in partnership with the Great Campaign. Created the Bloodhound Model Rocket Cars in 2011 and has developed this into its current form. I have trained the Brazilian team to do rocket cars and has been a success. When I travel back to India I teach at local village schools about Bloodhound and the village are proud of me to be part of this iconic project.
Spare time build models and robots, built full size dalek and Tardis in past, currently working on two new workshops to take the rocket powered vehicles to the next level.
Head of Operations
I joined The Learning Partnership in December 2018 ad their Northern Operations Manager, Responsible for the delivery of competitions across the North Of England. Develop relationships be-tween businesses and schools from across the region to help promote career choices for young people.
Defence lead, working with the UK Defence sectors both companies and the Ministry of Defence to promote STEM based activities.
Health & Safety lead, responsible for the safe operation of all competitions, testing equipment and producing the required health & safety documents.
Served for 22 years in the Royal Air Force with over 15 years of experience in the delivery of youth engagement activities at a national level. Designed a range of activities for young people of all ages from early primary school to further education students.
Appointed as a Member of The British Empire (MBE) in June 2018 for my services to young people and the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) careers. Named the 2018 Outstanding STEM Ambassador for the United Kingdom in November 2018.
