Engaging future apprentices

Susan Wiseman from Hutchinson Engineering brought a team of their staff to a Year 7 Race Day at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School in Widnes. While many careers related activities may focus on older students, enthusing and informing students embarking on their secondary education, was seen as a way to get more young people to consider a STEM career and pathway. Targeting girls was seen a key benefit of engaging them in Year 7.
